Over the years I have worn a lot of hats and many titles, including: Web Site Designer, Senior Web Developer, Manager of Web Integration, User Interface Designer, Senior Information Architect, Product Designer, Senior User Experience Designer, Senior Interaction Designer, Senior User Experience Architect, and even Lead UX Designer. When I am not designing, I have been known to play the role of a project manager, a team lead, a consultant, and even a business analyst. People still want to ask what it is I do.
The short answer I always give? "I do web design." The more complete response is I create solutions to challenges involving user interfaces on the web. I work to integrate new or improve existing features and functions while striving to ensure business goals and objectives are met, all while working to create the best possible experience for users. The intended experience is captured in the wireframes, mock-ups, and detailed design specifications I am primarily responsible for.
